Dopo tanti guai, e lo spiraglio di una possibile soluzione, non c’è stato niente da fare: Mininova ha dovuto prendere una grave decisione, una decisione che senza dubbio influenzerà tutto il mondo del p2p, oltre ovviamente la composizione e lo stesso indice di gradimento della sua community: la rimozione, totale ed irreversibile, di tutti i torrent considerati illegali. Una scelta dovuta per evitare la chiusura e pesanti sanzioni, ma che lascia l’amaro in bocca ai tanti utenti che utilizzavano Mininova abitualmente od occasionalmente.
L’annuncio, pubblicato anche sul blog ufficiale, era nell’aria già da un pò di tempo, visti i ripetuti ammonimenti rivolti a Mininova dai vari giudici impegnati nell’inchiesta, ammonimenti che il famoso tracker ha però sempre preso seriamente in considerazione, a differenza di ThePirateBay che li ha sempre disprezzati cercando di sfuggire alla legge e di proteggere il suo enorme archivio pieno zeppo di contenuti illegali, arrivando addirittura a trasferire tutti i suoi server in un bunker a prova di bomba, salvo poi perdere tutto.
Chissà quali saranno le ripercussioni sulle visite di Mininova, sulla sua evoluzione e sulla sua reputazione online. La maggior parte degli utenti sicuramente sfruttava il tracker solo per i suoi contenuti illegali, utenti che sicuramente migreranno verso altri lidi non ancora turbati dalla tempesta giuridica intorno al p2p. E voi? Vi lasciamo al sondaggio, ma non dimenticatevi di giustificare e commentare la vostra risposta nei commenti!

Comunque quando uno prende l'adsl lo scopo non dovrebbe essere quello di scaricare il materiale illegale (anche se sottointeso).

per sua natura l'informazione è un contenuto destinato a girare tra persone e quindi ad essere condiviso. una cosa che deve essere capita è che il concetto di legale è definito dalla collettività che accetta e sottoscrive delle regole che servono a dividere ciò che è giusto da ciò che è sbagliato. è giusto limitare il flusso di informazioni solo perchè collegate ad un prodotto o ad un'idea pensata o realizzata da qlcuno? se l'informazione diventa dominio pubblico (nel senso che è presente in milioni di memorie sia umane sia digitali) non diventa illegale allora il concetto di copyright ?
come uomini abbiamo o no il diritto di possedere e scambiarci informazioni?

Spesso si ignora che i siti come mininova hanno stra-guadagnato grazie alla pubblicità. Milioni di utenti generano entrate da capogiro pertanto ci saranno SEMPRE delle alternative. Non in nome della pirateria e nemmeno in nome della libera condivisione bensi solo ed esclusivamente per il vil denaro.
Parafrasando un famoso proverbio : "Morto un mininova …. se ne fa un altro!"

Una cosa non mi è chiara: i torrent che si trovano su mininova si trovano anche su centinaia di altri motori. quello che rendeva mininova utile era la grafica semplice e l'assenza di link civetta inutili. Cosa cambia adessso? che non useremo più mininova e che per qualche tempo non ci sarà un sito di riferimento, ma centinaia di altri?
Qual'è il fine di queste azini giudiziarie, dal momento che i torrent illegali son già "ILLEGALI"? Rendere più complicato il reperimento di tali torrent in una struttura come internet nata e dedicata al reprimento di informazioni?
Ripeto mi sfugge qualcosa: forse si tratta dei soldi connessi all'uso dei database da parte dei proprietari di mininova o piratebay?
Per noi utenti non cambia nulla ,se non il sito da mettere nei preferiti!

Veramente Penosi quelli di Mininova ( che non era tracker, precisiamolo, ma motore di ricerca)…. si sono scavati la fossa da soli…….il sito che era diventato con gli anni un vero must nel mondo BitTorrent (10 miliardi di download in 5 anni e oltre 3500 nuovi torrent caricati al giorno) è definitivamente defunto per sempre…..nessuno cercherà piu' un portale che non avrà piu' nulla da offrire (avete provato da ieri a digitare qualunque nome di artista, film ecc…..risultato ZERO assoluto. Del resto anche i gestori del portale, ultimamente, hanno dimostrato disinteresse nel difendere la loro creatura e si sono piegati alla sentenza di agosto del giudice.

Per la cronaca Mininova ha eliminato oltre 1 milione di torrent (1 milione !!!!!!!!!) caricati sul loro datadase….ma questi torrent non sono scomparsi dalla rete .
Io stesso ne ho caricati a decine su Mininova e se faccio una ricerca su altri portali me li ritrovo tutti quanti in ottima salute ; quindi il danno non è poi cosi' catastrofico…..si cercherà altrove cio' che interessa !
Ripeto NESSUNO fermera i torrent e questa fantastica tecnologia , il futuro è già iniziato e lo hanno capito per primi quelli di ThePirateBay cioè rete decentralizzata con supporto DHT e PEX con link magnetici, i tracker (il punto debole del sistema perchè piu' vulnerabili agli attacchi sia tecnici che giuridici) spariranno e i torrent continueranno a funzionare come e meglio di prima !
