Il 60% delle compagnie utilizza IE 6

Questa notizia rappresenterà uno shock per tutti gli amanti dell’open source ma quanto emerge da una ricerca Forrester il 60 per cento delle aziende utilizza ancora Internet Explorer 6 come browser di default sui loro pc, in barba a tutti i soldi che si spendono attualmente in firewall, server, etc.

Mentre si parla sempre più spesso di Web 3.0 e il 2.0 sembra essere superato si scopre che in realtà molte compagnie sono ancora ferme al web 0.5.

Il problema sta nel fatto che poche azienda hanno una politica riguardante i browser, che vengono trascurati invece che essere valutati come strumenti di produttività. In particolare Sheri McLeish che ha condotto la ricerca ha dichiarato che:

As more and more companies look to SaaS (software-as-a-service) solutions, and the Web delivers richer media, firms need to rethink their browser choices in concert with the Web-based apps they deploy. Today, the overwhelming majority of enterprises support Internet Explorer–remarkably, 60 percent of enterprises are still on IE 6.
