Honor 8 e non solo: aggiornamenti per 24 mesi
Da sempre una delle questioni più delicate per quanto concerne gli smartphone Android riguarda il loro sviluppo software. E’ il caso anche della famiglia Honor, anche se di recente le cose sembrano andare meglio per questi particolari modello. In particolare, secondo quanto emerso nel corso degli ultimi giorni pare che i futuri acquirenti di un Honor 8 vedranno assicurati aggiornamenti per almeno due anni.
Questo almeno è quello che traspare dalle dichiarazioni di Wimberly, uno dei manager di casa Honor che raramente si sbilancia su tematiche di questo tipo:
“Our customers asked for enhanced software support and we are going to deliver.
Honor is committed to providing the best possible experience for our customers.
From this year we are making a commitment to provide customers with access to new features (at least once every three months during the first 12 months) for up to 24 months following each product launch. We will keep providing access to security and software updates to fix bugs and enhance user experience in a timely manner. Beyond this period we will continue to provide updates in response to any threats to user safety and security. Our goal is to ensure customers have the best and safest possible experience on their Honor device”.
Abbiamo parlato di Honor 8 in quanto quest’ultimo è stato il top di gamma di recente presentato ufficialmente dal produttore, ma è chiaro che un approccio di questo tipo verrà applicato per forza di cose anche agli altri smartphone Android che verranno presentati nel corso delle prossime settimane. Restate dunque con gli occhi aperti, perché la sensazione è che ne vedremo delle belle grazie al nuovo approccio da parte di Honor.
