La maggior parte dei PDF reader permettono di cercare una parola/frase all’interno del documento attualmente aperto; ma se volessi estendere la ricerca a più documenti?
Naturalmente potreste utilizzare l’utility di ricerca di Windows o di qualsiasi altro sistema operativo, ma perchè non sfruttare le potenzialità di Adobe Reader o Foxit Reader? Vediamo come fare!
Adobe Reader
Per iniziare una ricerca standard, premete la combinazione Ctrl+f, oppure selezionate Modifica -> Trova. Parallelamente, per avviare il campo di ricerca avanzata, premete Shift+Crtl+f oppure Modifica -> Ricerca avanzata.
Nella nuova schermata, è possibile scegliere di cercare la parola/frase solamente nel documento corrente oppure estenderla a qualsiasi file presente in una specifica cartella. La directory può essere scelta liberamente, di default viene impostata “Documenti“.
E’ inoltre possibile cercare tra Segnalibri, Commenti e Allegati. Per gli utenti più esperti o esigenti, è possibile estendere le opzioni e utilizzare criteri aggiuntivi; ad esempio autore, titolo, data di creazione, oggetto, immagini ,metadati e tanti altri.
I risultati vengono elencati per documento, cliccandovi è possibile aprire la pagina in cui è contenuta la parola cercata.
Foxit Reader
Per aprire la finestra di ricerca, utilizzate la combinazione di testi Ctrl+Shift+f oppure selezionate Tools -> Search. Tra le varie opzioni è possibile scegliere di cercare la parola/frase solamente nel documento selezionato oppure estenderla a tutti i files presenti sul sistema. Se invece selezionate la voce In the Internet, il software provvederà ad effettuare una ricerca su Ask.Com, mostrandovi i risultati direttamente in Internet Explorer.
I risultati vengono ordinati secondo il documento in cui sono stati trovati; cliccando sulla relativa voce viene aperta la pagina contenente la frase/parola cercata.
Entrambe le soluzioni viste in quest’articolo risultano essere utili e interessanti; sicuramente Adobe offre un maggior numero di opzioni per la ricerca avanzata, garantendo in questo modo risultati sicuramente molto più precisi rispetto a Foxit.
