8 comandi del prompt da imparare assolutamente

Ormai ve lo abbiamo detto in tutte le salse: ci sono cose che è più semplice fare dal prompt dei comandi che dall’interfaccia grafica di Windows (o di qualsiasi altro sistema operativo). Per dimostrarvelo ancora una volta, quest’oggi abbiamo deciso di girarvi un’interessante serie di 8 comandi del prompt da imparare assolutamente postata dal sito MakeUseOf.

Si tratta di una serie di comandi adatti a varie finalità che permettono di conoscere più a fondo il prompt, scoprirne utilità inaspettate (forse nascoste) e divertirsi un po’ dalla linea di comando, che non fa mai male. Anche se non siete ancora dei veri geek, non potete non provarli!

Assoc: scoprire le associazioni dei file

Volete scoprire a quale programma è associato un determinato tipo di file sul vostro sistema? Aprite il prompt e digitate il seguente comando per ottenere la risposta:

assoc .[estensione del file]
esempio: “assoc .zip” per conoscere a quale programma sono associati i file in formato zip.


Tree: visualizzare la struttura delle cartelle ad albero

Con il classico comando “dir” si può avere l’elenco completo delle cartelle e dei file presenti in una directory, lo sanno tutti. Quello che non tutti sanno è che esiste un comando per ottenere uno schema completo di file e directory organizzati in una struttura ad albero sotto forma di file di testo txt. Ecco come sfruttarlo:

  • Recarsi nella directory di cui si vuole ottenere la struttura ad albero (es. CD C:\Cartella);
  • Dare il comando tree > un nome qualsiasi.txt.

Fc: comparazione file

Avete due file di testo (es. due liste) molto lunghi e volete scoprire velocemente quali differenze ci sono fra loro? Aprite il prompt e digitate:

fc “file uno” “file due”
esempio: fc “C:\Users\Andrea Guida\Dropbox\lista1.txt” “C:\Users\Andrea Guida\Dropbox\lista2.txt”

Find: effettuare ricerche dal prompt dei comandi

Se non volete utilizzare la barra di ricerca veloce di Explorer, ecco un trucchetto per effettuare ricerche dal prompt dei comandi (dovete sapere il nome esatto del file da cercare):

dir [lettera unità in cui cercare]:\ /s /b | find “file da cercare”
esempio: dir c:\ /s /b | find “documento.txt” per cercare un file chiamato “documento.txt” in una delle cartelle ospitate sul drive “C:”

Tasklist: il task manager nel prompt

Perché aprire il task manager quando si può vedere l’elenco dei processi attivi direttamente nel prompt dei comandi? Basta digitare:

tasklist

E se ci sono processi da fermare, basta “killarli” digitando:

taskkill [nome del processo da fermare]
esempio: taskkill explorer.exe per chiudere il processo “explorer.exe”

SFC: verificare l’integrità dei file di sistema

Avete il sospetto che il vostro sistema possa essere stato infettato da un virus? Provate a controllare l’integrità dei file di sistema con:

sfc /scannow

E per controllare singoli file:

sfc /VERIFYFILE=”file da controllare”
esempio: sfc /VERIFYFILE=”c:\windows\system32\kernel32.dll” per esaminare il file “kernel32.dll”

AT: pianificare operazioni

Anche se leggermente complicato da comprendere (almeno all’inizio), il comando “AT” è uno dei più utili e flessibili. Permette, infatti, di pianificare qualsiasi tipo di operazione senza passare per l’utilità di pianificazione di Windows.

Per scoprire tutte le sue variabili, digitate AT /?
Esempio: AT 00:05 cmd /c move c:\temp\*.* c:\archive per copiare i file contenuti nella cartella “c:\temp” in “c:\archive” alle 00.05.

Ipconfig: per sapere tutto sulle reti

Terminiamo con un grande classico: il comando per sapere di tutto e di più sulle reti (anche in questo caso, per conoscere tutte le variabili utilizzate il comando “/?”).

ipconfig

  3. stavo per aprire il dos e scrivere sfc /scannow per controllare se ci fossero virus, quando mi sono ricordato che sono su linux e penso che resterò qui per sempre

  4. Un comando che uso spesso e che trovo molto utile è:
    shutdown -s -t1800
    per chiudere il computer dopo mezz’ora (1800 secondi; dopo la t si mette una cifra che indica il numero di secondi dopo il quale il pc si spegnerà) o nella variante:
    shutdown -h -t1800
    per ibernarlo dopo, in questo caso, 1800 secondi.
