Da un bel pò di mesi non si sente altro che dire che tutti noi siamo intercettati e spiati giorno e notte. Il Grande Fratello tecnologico è ormai ovunque… Come potersi difendere?
Sicuramente non possiamo andare ad acquistare dei cellulari che cifrano le nostre conversazioni, poiché hanno dei prezzi non indifferenti nè tantomeno possiamo rinunciare ad utilizzare la tecnologia.
Possiamo invece utilizzare dei software che permettono, almeno in parte, di rendere più difficile la strada a chiunque ci voglia intercettare.
Il software che vi propongo oggi si chiama CryptoChat 4 e si tratta di un plug-in per Skype.
Il software, totalmente gratuito, utilizza l’algoritmo l’RSA a 1024 bit per cifrare le nostre conversazioni.
All’inizio di ogni chat dovremmo solamente stabilire una chiave e passarla al nostro interlocutore (ovviamente in un modo sicuro) e al resto penserà il software.
Scusate, ma non mi fido. Eppoi, avete dato uno sguardo alla privacy policy del software? Vi posto soltanto alcune righe, poi ognuno sarà libero di pensare ciò che vuole:

1024 bit …azz una criptazione così elevata ci vorrebbe un tempo incredibile per romperla..o sbaglio??
in realtà skype di suo cripta i dati con uno scambio di chiavi ad inizio conversazione (qui http://www.skype.com/intl/it/security/safety/safety.html a fine pagina), mi chiedo perciò perché l’esistenza di questo programma?
Mi sembra che l’articolo sia un’istigazione a delinquere.
Al limite sono i criminali che devono temere di essere intercettati.

E x quale motivo solo i criminali? Se io parlo al telefono con te non mi va che altre persone ascoltino la nostra conversazione. Allora si potrebbe dire la stessa cosa delle e-mail criptate…
Skype è alqaunto sicuro… è Msn Messenger il vero problema, anche se intercettare conversazioni che non avvengano sulla proprio LAN non è proprio un gioco da ragazzi. Io uso Simplite e sono totalmente soddisfatto, usa una chiave RSA a 2048bit…

anke io usavo Simplite, ma dopo poco l’ho dovuto disinstallare: mi dava solo problemi, nn mi arrivavano i messaggi, nn riuscivo a mandare messeggi, mi faceva crashare MSN, ecc…

Io ho nulla da nascondere. Non capisco tutta questa paura di essere intercettati.
Lo stesso discorso che fa mia madre per la presenza di telecamere ogni 2 metri in città. Ma lo volete capire che il diritto alla privacy è sacrosanto anche se non si fa nulla di male?
E poi qui si ipotizza di essere spiati da soggetti privati, ancora peggio quindi.

Ultimamente si crede che chi crittografa è perché è un terrorista o ha qualche cosa di losco da nascondere. Ma anche l’accesso alla mia banca è crittografato. Non dovrei perché non ho nulla da nascondere?

siamo coloro che hanno sviluppato CRYPTO CHAT 4 SKYPE: volevamoo rispondere a qualche post:
1) Skype cifra le sue conversazioni ma la chiave è uguale per tutti: Crypto ti da la possibilità di creare una chiave RSA a 1024 bits per OGNI contatto aumentando così la sicurezza; inoltre l’utente con crypto ha la CERTEZZA di vedere il suo messaggio cryptato poichè rimane il tracciato incomprensibile nella chat normale di skype;
2) Secondo noi il diritto alla privacy è sacrosanto e dai numeri che sono stati fatti in 3 mesi dopo il lancio di Crypto , molti della comunità internet (IN TUTTO IL MONDO) la pensano come noi
(CryptoChat 4 Skype: 5952 downloads, 5359 installazioni, oltre 1353 utenti attivi al 17/10/2008) ;
3) Per quanto riguarda il rapporto sulla privacy, per poter creare una nostra comunità come Skype ha fatto , a noi occorre avere almeno il nickname skype: questo ci permetterà , dalla prossima versione di Crypto, di cercare un utente che ha crypto installato così come si fa con Skype ( a quel punto verrà inviato il form di skype di invito per essere accettati come utenti Crypto). E poi considerate che Crypto è un software gratuito (anzi se volete contribuire le donazioni sono sempre ben accette 🙂 http://www.cryptochat4.com/skype/paypal_donate.html ) , per cui il nick ci permette di fare statistiche e vedere come va la pubblicità;
4) Il nostro progetto è cryptochat4 , per cui (sempre che ci siano i fondi) avremmo intenzione di sviluppare crypto anche per tutte le altre chat + importanti (cryptochat4msn , cryptochat4googletalk, ecc…) …vedremo!
