50 estensioni per Firefox dedicate agli studenti

Ormai manca davvero poco: gli esami di maturità sono alle porte e tantissimi ragazzi e ragazze si preparano ad una “full immersion” in libri e scartoffie varie, compreso ovviamente il tanto bistrattato (da chi non se ne intende) web. E se vi dicessimo che uno dei migliori strumenti per studiare tramite la grande rete è il mitico browser Mozilla Firefox?

Proprio così, grazie alle sue innumerevoli estensioni utli ad espanderne le funzionalità, Firefox si trasforma in una vera e propria macchina da guerra per le ricerche scolastiche. Ecco perché oggi vogliamo proporvi una bella lista contenente 50 estensioni per Firefox dedicate agli studenti, molte delle quali, siamo sicuri, vi faciliteranno non poco la dura vita da maturandi. Buona lettura a tutti e, ricordate: dopo Geekissimo tutti a studiare!

Ricerca

  1. Zotero: permette di salvare velocemenete, senza quindi passare da una scheda all’altra, tutte le fonti utilizzate per una ricerca.
  2. BetterSearch: migliora l’esperienza di navigazione nei motori di ricerca (Google, Yahoo, Ask.com ecc.) visualizzando anteprime dei risultati ed aggiungendo diverse funzioni aggiuntive.
  3. Clusty Toolbar: permette di effettuare ricerche in modo immediato su enciclopedie e dizionari, anche tramite il menu contestuale.


  4. Snap Links: permette di selezionare con il mouse ed aprire in nuove schede più link contemporaneamente.
  5. ScrapBook: permette di salvare velocemente pagine web, o parti di esse. Ideale per le ricerche scolastiche.
  6. Read It Later: uno dei migliori modi per velocizzare il lavoro nelle ricerche scolastiche è quello di rimandare di un po’ la lettura di una pagina, con questa estensione è possibile farlo in automatico ed in modo più che facile.
  7. Googlepedia: visualizza i risultati delle ricerche su Google e Wikipedia contemporaneamente.
  8. Customize Google: permette di passare da un motore di ricerca all’altro in modo facile e veloce.
  9. WorldCat Search: effettua ricerche per trovare libri e scaricare video.
  10. Yoono: consiglia automaticamente siti che ci potrebbero interessare, e condivide i nostri segnalibri con gli altri.
  11. Bookstack: per rimandare ad altri momenti la lettura di talune pagine web.
  12. eReader: permette una lettura semplificata degli e-book in Firefox.

  1. AutoCopy: permette di copiare porzioni di testo semplicemente evidenziandole con il cursore del mouse.
  2. Copy URL+: permette di salvare URL aggiungendovi delle informazioni aggiuntive (titolo, testo selezionato ecc.).
  3. Mystickies: permette di inserire post-it in qualsiasi pagina web ed organizzarli.
  4. Clipmarks: permette di “ritagliare” parti di pagine, salvarle automaticamente ed organizzarle al meglio.
  5. Sketcher: per aggiungere note visuali a qualsiasi pagina web.
  6. NoteFish: serve a “ritagliare” porzioni di pagine web ed auto-inviarle via mail.
  7. WiredMarker: un ottimo evidenziatore digitale permanente. Ideale per sottolineare punti salienti di un lungo testo.

Risorse

  1. Answers: per ricercare termini su Answers.com senza aprire nuove schede, direttamente dal menu contestuale.
  2. gTranslate: per tradurre testi al volo.
  3. Dictionary Search: permette di conoscere velocemente la definizione relativa ad una parola, tramite il menu contestuale di Firefox.
  4. HyperWords: questa estensione trasforma ogni parola selezionata in un hyperlink, vale a dire che diventa possibile, tramite il menu contestuale, accedere facilmente al dizionario delle definizioni, a quello dei sinonimi, ai negozi on-line, ai motori di ricerca e tanto altro.
  5. Converter: permette di confrontare le varie unità di misura.

Varie

  1. Adblock Plus: blocca le pubblicità e gli elementi indesiderati.
  2. gMapIt!: permette di evidenziare un indirizzo e trovarlo automaticamente su Google Maps.
  3. Nuke Anything Enhanced: permette di eliminare qualsiasi elemento dalle pagine web con un solo click. Ideale quando si vuole stampare del testo senza sprecare la cartuccia per gli eventuali elementi grafici del sito.
  4. URL Fixer: corregge automaticamente i fequenti errori di battitura negli indirizzi web.
  5. IE Tab: permette di aprire in Firefox i siti utilizzando il motore di Internet Explorer.
  6. Online Bookmark Manager: permette di accedere a tutti i propri segnalibri on-line, senza sincronizzazioni.
  7. WebMail Notifier: permette di ricevere notifiche da vari servizi di web-mail.
  8. LinkedIn: permette di creare facilmente nuove connessioni in LinkedIn, il servizio web dedicato ai professionisti.
  9. Chipmark: permette di sincronizzare i segnalibri tra più PC e browser.
  10. ChartLet: analizza il lavoro svolto con il browser per poi generare esaustivi grafici.

  6. BlueOrganizer: rende più facile e veloce l’utilizzo di alcuni servizi web, velocizzando molto talune attività.

  8. Session Manager: permette di salvare, e riaprire quando si desidera, qualsiasi sessione di lavoro.
  9. TimeTracker: analizza il tempo speso a lavorare nel browser, per poi formare bilanci che aiutano ad aumentare la produttività.

  1. StumbleUpon: permette di salvare e condividere i prorpi siti preferiti, per poi scoprirne tanti nuovi interessanti.
  2. FoxyTunes: permette di controllare i player audio direttamente dal browser.
  3. TwitterFox: permette di avere sempre a disposizione una finestrella relativa a Twitter, dove visualizzare i messaggi scritti dagli altri ed inserire i propri.
  4. PicLens: permette di visualizzare le gallerie di immagini presenti sul web come uno spazio tridimensionale.
  5. Facebook Toolbar: per facilitare e velocizzare tutte le azioni legate a Facebook.
  6. ShareThis: permette di condividere facilmente elementi dal web con i propri amici.
