Nell’ultimo aggiornamento di LogMeIn Ignition per Mac rilasciato (versione 2.0.264) è stata inserita una funzionalità davvero interessante, di cui si sentiva la mancanza.
Si tratta della possibilità di selezionare, all’avvio della sessione remota, il tipo di sessione.
Adesso è infatti possibile scegliere se avviare una sessione di controllo remoto oppure una sessione di trasferimento e gestione file.
Il trasferimento file permette di scaricare i file remoti in un’apposita cartella sul computer da cui ci si collega (il nome della cartella è “Local Files”), in modo da poterli modificare comodamente tramite applicazioni compatibili.
Purtroppo, non risulta possibile effettuare il trasferimento al computer remoto dopo aver modificato i file, ma è comunque possibile, nel caso di sessioni di gestione file su computer differenti, trasferire i file da un computer all’altro, attraverso la gestione delle sessioni nell’applicazione.
Un’altra funzionalità interessante in questa nuova versione di LogMeIn Ignition è il supporto per AirPrint per i documenti trasferiti al proprio iPad, e la possibilità di avviare un computer dalla sessione di sleep grazie al supporto Wake-On-LAN.
Grazie a queste nuove funzionalità di LogMeIn Ignition, l’applicazione diventa sempre più interessante ed importante per chi sente la necessità di accedere da remoto al proprio computer di casa (o dell’ufficio, dipende dalle situazioni), e l’aggiornamento è assolutamente consigliato per tutti coloro che già utilizzano l’applicazione.
Per chi ancora non conoscesse LogMeIn Ignition, ricordiamo che l’applicazione di controllo remoto è molto più versatile di VNC, grazie alla possibilità di connettersi in remoto anche a computer che sono dietro Firewall o all’interno di reti aziendali (oppure il vostro computer di casa con Fastweb, normalmente non raggiungibile dall’esterno), e risulta molto semplice da utilizzare.
Grazie al supporto per iPad, inoltre, LogMeIn è comodissimo per accedere al vostro computer di casa ovunque vi troviate.
