Stando a quelle che sono le informazioni che, nel corso delle ultime ore, hanno iniziato a fare il giro dell’intero web Hector Xavier Monsegur, meglio conosciuto con il nickname di Sabu, ovvero l’ex leader del gruppo di hacktivisti denominato LulzSec, sarebbe diventato un collaboratore dell’FBI e le sue più recenti rivelazioni avrebbero permesso la cattura di ben cinque uomini sospettati finiti direttamente nelle mani delle forze dell’ordine durante un’operazione di polizia internazionale.
L’operazione, nel dettaglio, stando a quelli che sono gli ultimi dettagli attualmente disponibili, sarebbe riuscita grazie alle informazioni fornite dall’ex leader del gruppo di hacktivisti che, arrestato mesi addietro poichè riconosciuto colpevole di ben 12 differenti attacchi informatici tra cui risultano compresi anche quelli verso PayPal, Sony, CIA, avrebbe poi accettato di collaborare con gli agenti federali statunitensi al fine di rendere quanto meno lunga possibile la sua permanenza in galera.
I membri di LulzSec che sono stati arrestati sono Ryan Kayla Ackroyd e Jake Topiary Davis, entrambi innglesi, Darren pwnsauce Martyn e Donncha palladium O ‘Cearrbhail, irlandesi, e Jeremy Anarchaos Hammond, amercano di Chicago, tutti facenti parte dei più alti gradi delle gerarchie del gruppo di hacker.
L’ultimo degli arrestati, inoltre, pare sia stato l’artefice numero uno dell’attacco, avvenuto qualche mese addietro, all’agenzia di sicurezza Stratfor e sarebbe anche un membro di Anonymous, e, proprio per tali ragioni, verrà processato separatamente.
I portavoce della Polizia Federale statunitense, comunque, si sono dichiarati particolarmente entusiasti della collaborazione con Sabu tenendo conto del fatto che le sue rivelazioni stanno consentendo di mettere i bastoni tra le ruote ad uno tra i più importati gruppi di hacker del panorama intenzionale.
